FY2026 Medications: Monitoring & Administering
This course can be used to meet training requirements during State fiscal year 2026 which runs October 1, 2025 - September 30, 2026.
This course covers basic monitoring and administration of medications.
Completion of this hybrid course requires:
- Completion of all modules and activities, including one assignment
- Completion of the final quiz with a score of 80% or greater
- Practical demonstration of skills to your first-line supervisor/instructor.

Support Staff in unlicensed and vocational settings should have this training if the staff supports the individual(s) or has responsibility or job performance in the following areas:
- Preparing, administering and documenting medications
- Monitoring, observing, prompting and documenting the self-administration of medications by the individual supported
- Recognizing, responding to and documenting the desired effect, possible side effects, possible adverse effects of medications taken by the individual supported
- Recognizing circumstances under which to use and using medications from the Standing Medication Order (“prn” medications)
- Following instructions from the Standing Missed Medication Order when scheduled medications were not administered on time
